Help me…
I need help; either I work too much, I spend too much time at my computer, or my brain is broken.
Three things happened today which makes me think one or all of the above is true:
- I was writing on a pad, with a pen. I made a mistake, I got frustrated. It took me a while to work out that I was frustrated because I couldn’t use CTRL+Z and undo my mistake.
- A bit later, I was writing again, I needed to write the same thing twice. My brain started the procedure it normaly does in this situation, it fires up the synapses and neural pathways I use to highlight the peice of text I want to copy, CTRL+C, then CTRL+V. Again, I suffered frustration as I actually had to write the line twice.
- Finally, on my way home I got stuck in traffic and and realised that I should have taken the turning previously - I was upset that I couldn’t simply click ‘back’ and start over again.
These things lead me to believe that my computer is so integrated into my life that I should probably consider spening some time away from it.
